Art with a Heart in Healthcare is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to arts and healing and has served thousands of children and their families at Wolfson Children's Hospital.
Art Program
With an emphasis on creative expression, Art with a Heart in Healthcare helps humanize the high-tech atmosphere of the hospital environment. Patients and families tell us their art experience helped diminish fear and relieve pain and helped them regain a feeling of control in the hospital.
Discover Talents and Learn about the Arts
Art with a Heart in Healthcare works with the Child Life team to give children who are hospitalized an opportunity to express themselves through various artistic mediums. Painting, drawing, music, storytelling and photography gives patients the opportunity to discover their own artistic talents and learn about the arts.
Art Brings Healing
Together, artists and patients create art that reclaims the child's sense of self, making a powerful contribution to the healing process. A majority of the kids we meet have their first art experience with us.
Talented Team of Artists
Seven days a week, the talented team of artists-in-residence, community volunteers and interns from the University of North Florida develop art sessions to meet the unique needs of each patient.
