Types of Acquired Heart Conditions

Although they are rare, there are several heart conditions that can be acquired during childhood. Some of these conditions can cause inflammation in the heart and arteries.

Pediatric Preventive Cardiology Program

Increasingly, children are showing signs of heart disease risk, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. Our Pediatric Preventive Cardiology Program works with these children and families to help manage and reverse the signs through nutrition education, exercise education and medication.
